A girl with black hair sat tiredly behind a large desk, head laid on her arms and half asleep. Really, who came to the library very much anymore? If anyone needed Christina's help, they would wake her. Besides, it had been a long night and she needed to catch up on some 'z's. After her run in with the metal man, Christina set out, as Xana still, to find the girl's parents. It was a heartbreaking sight to see the mother clasping the small doll and bawling into the arms of her husband who was having difficulty holding himself together. Christina worried about the baby who lost it's elder sister and would probably, as is common with family tragedies such as this, have to deal with divorced parents. She decided to check on the family every now and then. Moral support of sorts, but for now, on this uncomfortable desk, sleep was the main goal. Hopefully Mouky would stay asleep under the desk.

A man with dark brow spiked hair entered the gotham library, so quite, peaceful. He still had the night before in mind, his other life played like a movie in his head. He held a ziploc bag of strawberries, he whipped up a few every morning. He popped one in his mouth and savored the taste. He moved his way to the front desk; like all people, he was in the library for books, and he felt he had need that night to study and strategize. Some involving work, some personal. He stopped in front of the desk and looked at the...Librarian? Girl was young, was he dreaming? Useually its the frail old lady at the library, but this. She was slouched in her chair, seemed tired, he politely cleared his throat, "Excuse me..."

She was running down a long dark corridor, heart pounding and feet slamming on the wooden floorboards. She was running and this growling behind her grew louder and louder behind her. The floor boards began to dissolve beneath her feet, melting away into swamp lands. She was swimming, but not fast enough, a large reptilian form, jaws wide and teeth shining off of the moon, launched out of the water towards Christina, "Excuse me..."
Christina jerked upright in her chair and blinked her violet eyes and shook her head slightly. She looked up at the man in front of her desk and smiled auqwardly before noticing the strawberries in his hand. "Um, we don't allow food into the library." she felt Mouky roll over and hoped he wasn't waking up. He probably was.

The man thought back on his entrance, he hadn't seen a sign in the front, then again it WAS common sense. He returning the smile, "Sorry, slipped my mind," He had already put a strawberry in his hand when he got to the desk, so in good faith he moved to put it in the bag...it was gone. "Did I drop it?" Scanning the ground with his eyes, it was nowhere to be seen. He shook his head, maybe he ate it already. He returned his gaze to the librarian, who was a little tired. "You know," he hefted the bag, "these help give you some energy, you should have a few before I throw these away." As he set the bag down and retracted his hand, he heard what sounded like a ecstatic gasp, followed by a swift noise from the left. In his startlement, he lunged at the first bit of movement he saw, his hand snatching a small, soft coated monkey, with its hand already grabbing the bag, and looking straight at him, with a, almost comic, startled expression.

Christina did all she could to act surprised. Her real expression was a fake startle with a hint of annoyance. Moukey was never one to shy away from his favorite fruit. Luckily, the monkey was a quick thinker, he bit the man's hand and took the bag of strawberries from his loose grasp before running off into the depths of the book sorting room behind the desk. Christina just sat and watched this all happen, eyes fallowing the monkey until he was out sight, "Uh..." she turned back to the man, "we have a rodent problem." Christina's acting wasn't all that great but her business/poker face (which she wore now) was amazing.

Blood ran down the mans hand, he didn't even flinch, he was rather distracted by the resemblance, no, the fact, that that was the same monkey he saw with... He looked over at the librarian, height, eyes, "Monkeys, are actually mammals, so you have a zoo escapee..." He looked at the name sign, "Christina." He retracted his hand as his blood started to drip on the table, he looked at the bite marks, "Now that I think about it, the zoo is on the other end of Gotham, must be a 'Lab Rat' from somewhere."
Jo, feel free to start by interrupting me at any point of my discussion

When she realized that the strange man was bleeding, Christina stood up behind her desk and leaned forward, grabing the mans hand to examine it. "I was raised with animals, I know that monkeys are mammals..." She releases the guys hand to look under the desk, "Now when they start to become a pest they turn into rodents, therefore, it is a rodent problem." She reamerges from under the desk with a first aid kit. "Can I see your hand again, um... What was your name?"

"Its Jaden," He held out his hand to let her examine. Girl sure liked being right, "And don't worry, I won't sue or anything, this isn't that bad anyway.

Christina grinned and responded, "I'm Christina." she looked down at the bite mark and it looked better than she thought it had looked earlier. She picked up the disinfectant from the now open first aid kit and began to carefully clean the wound. In her concentration, she couldnt help but notice that Jaden's warm hand was heavy. Maybe he worked out alot, after all, muscle weighs more than fat... after she cleaned his hand she took a bandage from the kit and gingerly placed it apon the bite. "Hopefully it didn't have rabies..." Angry chatter arose from the back room at Christina's attempt to make polite conversation. As quick as was possible for her in her pencil skirt, Christina was on the other side of the desk and grabbed Jaden's arm, walking him further into the library. "So, what do you need help finding?" She smiled largely, hoping that he hadnt heard Moukey in the back room.

Jaden smiled as he was led by Christina, "I'm looking for some books on swords and biblical figures." Jaden couldn't help but notice the monkey's light chatter, but he kept it to himself. "It's not everyday you get a private escort though the library, I wish the "rodent" bit me sooner." The monkey vented more annoyance behind them with what sounded like a hi pitched, "Daaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Christina glared behind her at Moukey who had taken to shaking his fist at the two of them. He eventualy got the message and went to the back again to hide. Satisfied, she put a warm smile on her face and turned back to Jaden, "Well, biblical figures would be down this aisle," she stoped infront of one and motioned down it. "Now, what sort of swords are you looking for? Katana, Rapier, broadsword?"

Jaden cocked an eyebrow and grinned, "All of them; you have some experience with swords?" Jaden said curiously.

Christina shrugged, "A little bit. Enough to satisfy a mild interest. What would you like to start with first. We generaly sort books my genra and culture not by weaponry." She smirked a little, hands folded lightly behind her back and head bent slighty but still looking Jaden in the face.

The teasing pose Christina made caused Jaden to blush a little, he turned his gaze down the hall of books, "I've...em...always preferred the Katana and..." Jaden's attraction made his words slip "...Metal Staffs."

Christina lifted an eyebrow just a smidgen at the mention of metal staffs. 'No...' She blinked a couple of times and grinned, "Well, Katannas are likely to be found over there," she points about two aisles down , "and metal staffs..." She trails off and puts a finger to her bottom lip, thinking. "I think we got a new book in."
