Woo, close one. "Thankyou," Jaden followed her as she pointed him to 3 books, 2 old involving the history of Katana's, not useful, the other about the composition of steel forging in Katana's, useful, and the 3rd new book she showed him had a list of newly designed pole arm weapons and martial art staffs, very useful. He then proceeded to the check out. As she proceded to scanning the books for him, his phone went off, an Iphone, the newest model. As he opened it up it had a news update, "Firefly Ignites Highschool: 17 dead" Which all translated to that he had work tonight. He looked over the librarian again, his eyes seemed to move without his consent. She had to be the one he saw the other night, no doubt, but he couldn't shake that she was someone he'd seen before, 8 years ago... "You free this weekend?" Suddenly his mouth was moving without his consent, but it was already too late.

Christina scanned the last book and glanced up at him seriously before turning back to the screen to make sure everything was accurate. " I'm free during the day usually. I have a night job though so any time after 8 there's no getting ahold of me. Full name?" She now had to do a fill in the blank page to get Jaden's library card ready for check out, unfortunatly, the blue-screen of death reared it's ugly head. Christina got visibly distressed and sayed a little too loudly for a library, "Damnit!" and smacked the computer screen.

Jaden peaked around to see the old computer had crashed. "Mind if I do a little magic trick?" Jaden didn't wait for a response and jabbed his finger on the computer, a little surge of energy echoed through the computer and back to him. He could see everything wrong with the computer in an instant, a warped wire, dust crusted mainframe, a circuit board 10 years old. Jaden was able to remove all the abnormalities and replaced the circuit board with a modern upgrade, all without showing any changes to the computers exterior, save the little glows of light. TO erase suspicion, Jaden slapped the computer in a weird beat and gave it one more tap, "That should do it." The computer screen now changed to its normal status. "Names Jaden Dastrok, Tommorow at 5?"

Christina glanced between the now fixed computer screen and Jaden's face. This guy had not done much more than poke and smack a computer back to life. Something was up with him, but that investigation would take place on a later time. She grinned a little to hide her suspicions. "That's perfect. I am done here around that time and I'm not closing tomorrow. That'd be Babs's job..." Christina caught herself rambling and she quickly stopped talking to save any further embarrassment. She looked back to the screen and filled out Jaden's first name, "Um... Clear out the fog for me, how do you spell your last name?"

Jaden smiled, the way she ran on and got frustrated reminded him so much of her..."D-A-S-T-R-O-K... There's a play going on at the theater down the street, Phantom of the Opera. Sound good"

Christina blinked a couple of times, typed the name in, and looked up at Jaden. "I can't for the life of me figure out why I should turn down such a wonderful show." She glanced back to the screen, "Date of birth?" After getting the answer, she types it in and begins printing the library card. "Tomorrow, 5 p.m., Phantom of the Opera..." She grabs the freshly printed library card, places it on the books and hands the pile to Jaden. "Yeah, I can live with that."
There was a tiny crinkling of plastic bag in the back room from Moukey grabbing another Strawberry to eat. Christina was going to have to remember to leave him at home tomorrow... MAYBE with a walkie talkie...

Jaden felt his heart skip a beat, for the first time in 8 years he felt...excited for the company of a person. Sure he had a few flings in the past years, due to work of course, but something was...well...more. He could feel the stupid grin on his face was chissled in. He cleared his throat, he was going to the play originally on business with some of his buyers, Jaden's funding job was selling raw materials to companies, materials courtesy of his...abilities. Fuck it he thought, they can wait another day. "Sounds good. By the way, the event is Semi Formal, would you like me to pick you up?"

"From here sure. I mean, I Get out pretty close to showtime and besides, I just met you." she chuckles a bit and adds, "I don't know just how weird you are yet

Jadens grin widened to reveal his pearl white teeth, "Smart girl, in this town is full of the weirdest kind," Jaden picked up his books and pocketed his card, he stood for a second, thinking what to do next, nervous, feeling as if he stood on a paper thin glass floor. Exhaled and placed his hand on Christina's desk with his fingers curled so his hand looked like half of a cylinder, he the slowly slid his hand to the right. Channeling a small amount of energy and pulling from his stored items, a faint glow hardly noticeable lit in the palm of his hand, then in a flash Jaden quickly swiped his hand across the table, revealing a red rose free of thorns and its pedals glistening, full of life. He looked Christina in the eye, "I'm one of the weirdest."

Christina raised an eyebrow and glanced at the rose that definitely wasn't there before. She picked it up and breathed in the fragrance of the rose, eyes closed. She opened her eyes and looked at Jaden, coyly before reaching out, opening one of the books that he was carrying, and placing the rose in it, "I accept your challenge" was all she said grinning a bit with her eyelids lowered before going off to help a child reach a book that was too high.

Jaden let out a slow smooth breath he had held the second she got up. "I accept your challenge?" Sounded like he was going to be competing to catch her eye...or measure up to how weird she was. Jaden walked towards the door. Just before reaching the exit, he tapped energy into the books, scanning each and every page, all the information on the books and all the pictures were tapped into his memory, just as he reached the door he dropped the books into the return box. Jaden's smile wouldn't go away as he walked into the streets of Gotham, people cocked eyebrows at him as they wondered to what made this man so happy. Jaden took her challenge for the date to be exciting, and a walk down memory lane, even if his friend hadn't told him the possibility of it happening, he knew he was going to be with the woman he loved

Christina exited the private restroom of the library, satisfied that her hair was done. She wore a black knee high dress and wore red lipstick. "This isn't too much for a first date is it?" she thought to herself. She cast that thought aside, worrying more about how the night would go, would duty call her away in the middle of things, would Moukey wreck the apartment. "Too many worries" she thought, "tonight is going to be a good night, and I'm going to have fun with him". She wore a medium sized black purse, large enough to hold her phone, makeup, 3-section staff, her special watch, as well as a few other essentials for when you're on a date. Thinking she'd better take her last chance to call Moukey, weird to think she's calling a Monkey. She dialed, it took only one full ring and her hear was blasted with a panicked, almost crying screech. "Moukey..." More blabbering came through the phone, which sounded like "So lonely". Christina felt for him, she was never really away from him that long, then again every time she leave him alone too long does he ends up entertaining himself by, hard to believe, hack computers. Moukey had been Christina's companion for some time, and their meeting was something else. Christina was abandoned at the age of 7, she lived 2 years on the streets, making it a living picking pockets and shoplifting, which gained her a valued skill for parkour, which came from the repeated times she ran from the cops. One day she had decided to sneak into the nearby zoo after hours, being she couldn't afford to get a ticket. She always loved animals, not for the sake of studying them, just loved them. As she ventured all the exibits, listening to the animals that were restless in the night, she didn't realize that something...cruel, was being done at the zoo. Christina walked down a walkway as she left the lion exhibit, the dark didn't scare her, but it did make her uneasy, especially when the bushes next to her started shaking. She jumped and panicked, put a few extra steps between her an the bush, then suddenly your childhood nightmare came to life, from the shadows a furry creature springs at you, grabbing for you. Christina felt a choked scream in her throat erupt when the furry creature put its hands on her mouth, holding itself on her with is hind legs. Scared, she fell back and landed on her back, cold pavement knocking the wind out of her, when something peculiar happened, the creature, a monkey....shushed her.

Christina felt her heart pounding against her ribs, this monkey came out of the darkness like a bad dream, but unlike the bad dream, what appeared was a...cute monkey, yet it acted like something from a cartoon. The monkey slowly removed its hands from Christina's mouth, and started looking around him nervously, then Christina heard the sound of boots moving around the park, the glimmer of flashlights in the distance. She couldn't be seen, and obviously this monkey didn't want to be found, something was sad about it, it was scared, but one thing was for sure, this monkey wasn't normal. She scooped up the monkey in her arms and booted in the opposite direction of the lights. The signs were barely visible in the night, lion exhibit, rhino habitat, medical, no exit! She was cut off, the monkey chattered nervously in her arms, she had to hide. The monkey wrestled in her hold, trying to free its arm, she turned her attention to the monkey, it pointed out its small arm and directed her to go to medical.

Christina quietly hurried in the direction the monkey pointed. Funny, she was following a monkey, she didn't know why, but something about the look in its eyes made her trust it. She kept moving until she came about to a building, marked as the Medical Lab, the only entrance available was an obviously locked door marked "employee's only". The monkey leaped away from her and started patting on the door, eager to get inside. The monkey then slumped to its knees, unable to get in, it looked to Christina, wanting her help. Christina heard running footsteps coming closer, someone was looking for the monkey, and the only way to get away was throught he door, then a light smile touched Christina's lips. Being on her own for so long, robbing selfish and wealthy pricks gave her a knack for lockpicking, she produced 2 picks from her right boot and quickly picked away at the lock. Within 5 seconds the door was unlocked, the Monkey chattered with glee. They both quietly entered the building and shut the door, they stood in silence at the door. She listed for the men outside as the monkey moved its way to sit on her shoulder, quite comfy having the war furry monkey resting on her. She could hear the running footsteps, followed by voices, "Don't let that little fucker get away, with all we invested in him, losing him will be the death of us." This monkey was so much more than she thought, "Alot of work is an understatement. We made that little monkey smarter than Steven Hawking, gave it the lifespan of a human, and the little bastard wiped the computers, all the data is gone! Keep looking, I'm going to make sure we've got all the exits covered." The men ran off, leaving Christina in silence, the monkey nervously wimpering. Christina looked at the monkey, looked in its cute blue eyes, but say the expression of a child, "Looks like you're quite the devious one?" THe monkey gave the cutest smile ever, a smile that caught her heart and made her know, that she had to protect him. "Why did you bring me here?" The monkey made a high pitched, "Chip Chip!" That meant come with me she guessed, she followed it though a hallway, doors every 20 feet, windows showing labs filled with equipment, they rounded the corner to another hallway, just like the same, only this one had a black door at the end of the hall way. The door was made of metal, like a vault, a box with a numerical keypad 0-9 on the side. She couldn't pick that, Christina hated computers. The monkey, jumped and hung on the box with the keypad. The monkey sniffed the keys, licked each one individually, it scratched the side of its head like it was thinking, then popped its finger straight up and looked at Christina and declared "Ahah!", it then jabbed at the keys, a few beebs later the door clanked, signaling the door was unlocked, the door swung open, revealing a small cubicle with glass containers. There were gadgets and numerous viles and syringes. The monkey stood in the center of the cubicle bouncing on its feet, looking at the cases with a devious look of mischief on its face. It then stopped, looked at Christina real quick, then back to a cubicle at the top, it jumped up to it and swung the case door open, retrieving a metal wrist pad, the monkey tossed it to Christina. The pad looked different than any devices she'd seen before, it was the size of an Iphone but was to be worn on the wrist...before Christina could observe anymore, the monkey started to thrash everything else in the cases, breaking the other devices smashing all the viles, painting the floor with different colors, sparkled with broken glass, the room smelled toxic, it wasn't long till the monkey was done and jumped back into the hallway. Christina was shocked by the monkey's outrage. The men said the monkey had, wiped out the computer files, then she saw the monkey hack a keypad like it was a toy, and the anger. This zoo was obviously shaky, but now it looked like it was a big mad scientists laboratory. "What was that all about you Mouky." The monkey stared at her for a second, then it laughed with a high pitched giggle. Christina let out a small laugh at the hilarity of a laughing monkey. "Whats so funny Mouky?" The monkey laughed harder. Christina got why it was laughing, she couldn't say monkey with her accent, it came out Mouky. "Now listen here Mo...is it all right if I just all you Mouky?" The monkey nodded its head with a smile, liking the name. "Now listen here, why did you do that, and what is this?" The monkey chattered, but the words it could say, good lord the monkey could speak words, not understandably, Mouky talked so fast. Mouky stopped, obvious Christina wasn't understanding. Mouky then acted sharades, grabbing one on the needles from the broken syringes, and representingly pointed it and poked it at his arm, it dropped the needle, then put his hands on his head and made electric buzzing sounds, he then furriously shuck his hair, then after some deep breaths, stood calmly, motioned over to the broken room, then pointed at his head. The message was through, obvious by the tears that were in Christina's eyes, she scooped up the little monkey and hugged it. She stood there in the silent hallways with Moukey, she had to get him out, but how? Moukey pointed down the hallway to a sign that said exit, Christina ran to it, but as she reached for the door, "Stop!", Moukey halted her from opening the door. He then pointed at the phone in the office next to the door, as they entered, Moukey pointed at the button next to the phone marked "Master Intercom". Moukey pointed at the wristpad she gave her, thinking of how to explain, Moukey grabbed a pencil and a pad of paper and wrote with impressive speed. When he was done, Christina was impressed, not only could Moukey write, he wrote better than she did, they were the words of a child though. It read, "The shiny wrist thingy is a gadget that lets you speak monkey, lion, bird, any animal. Also tells where you are in world, can work like phone, and fires really strong knockout darts out the front."
